Associate Club

For clubs, societies, organisations and other entities that share or support the Society's objectives.

Who may apply

  • Any club, society, organisation or entity supportive of the Society's objectives may apply.
  • Admission requires Management Committee approval.

Representation and activities

  • An Associate Club may nominate one representative to liaise with HAA(S) and participate in appropriate Society activities.
  • The club is entitled to one institutional vote at any General Meeting, exercised by its nominated authorised representative.

Voting and office-holding

  • If the authorised representative is separately an Ordinary Member, that person may exercise their individual Ordinary Member vote and the club's separate institutional vote.
  • Associate Club status does not itself make the club or its representative eligible to hold Society office.
  • The club's members, officers and representatives do not automatically become individual HAA(S) members.

Commitments and fees

  • The admitted organisation is bound by the Society's Constitution.
  • Any Associate Club subscriptions or fees may be set by the Management Committee, subject to General Meeting resolutions.
  • Coordinate through the nominated representative and observe applicable Society rules and activity requirements.

General membership conditions

Members must follow the HAA(S) Constitution. Resignation requires one month's written notice to the Secretary or Membership Officer, and outstanding amounts remain payable. Serious misconduct or breaches may lead to disciplinary action under the Constitution, with an opportunity to respond.

Exact fee amounts, programme availability, and any additional administrative requirements should be confirmed with the Association; the Constitution does not set a fixed fee for every membership category.
